Two of my Amex cards have the old art, and it can be a bit confusing when I log into the site and the card look different. I was also trying to figure out how to get the new look cards, but do you have to call?
is this one of the first general 3% shots fired? i remember when 2% was the target and fidelity led the way.
still not as good as my credit card which is 3% on everything, everywhere, unlimited. i spend 80% of my purchases online so this deal would be ok if i didn't have u.s. alliance
Nice card but when I went down to the fine print it states "3 Points per dollar accrual rate is a promotional value and expires on 12/31/2022, at which time points will accrue at 2 points per dollar. " just a heads up
Have this card but never got an email for the change. Hopefully everyone is right and this is for all cardholders, including existing members.
It includes existing. I got an email the other day. "Rediscover your enhanced Blue Cash Everyday® Card, with new benefits and even more ways to earn cash back"
not sure why this is front page. this has been the same for over a decade. they just added the online cash back recently though.
They changed online retail to 3%, and raised gas to 3% also. In addition to eliminating the $25 or more needed to redeem cashback. This is now one of the best cards available. Thus, it made the front page.

You can sign in through the AMEX portal. I have the clear god awful blue box with gray background that is see through. It's such an ugly and embarrassing card if you've ever had a green, gold or platinum card.
I needed a new card because my card didn't have the touchless radio frequency chip. The new ones do.
Go to account services tab in your AMEX portal. Then click on replace a card. Pick a reason for requesting a new card. They do not have a card is damaged or technologically challenged card option.
SERIOUSLY??? My preferred Amex Blue I pay over $100 per year just to have earns 1% in online and this one triple that?? I'm definitely going to cancel my Preferred Blue. This is ridiculous and a spit on the face to customers like me who have paid annual fees for over 10 years...
all of the popular credit cards have their strengths. Online purchase is not the strength of Preferred Blue, supermarkets are. If you want to be the "winner" in the relationship between you and credit cards then take the time to learn. You will likely have to have multiple cards for different uses also
wow, your math sucks. if you spend $12,001 in one year, who gets the bigger cashback: your lover amex with the deceptive 3% rate or my fidelity at 2% unlimited?
the answer is my us alliance at 3%.
you shouldn't critique someone on their math then offer up a silly example (amex at 3% vs fidelity at 2%)
the comparison is (for > $12k, amex at 3% limited vs fidelity at 2% unlimited) and the winner is fidelity will get you more cb but even better than both is us alliance. seriously, you didnt get that?
adjust your glasses
you didn't say over 12,000. You said 12,001. Or is it early onset dementia instead?

But I believe you still have extended warranty though

Also have the BofA CC card, which also offers 3% online shopping ($2500 per quarter though).
However, the BofA card offers extended warranty and AMEX removed those and other benefits not too long ago.
Still nice to have another 3% for online purchases card.
Thanks OP for the heads up.
