The $80 Aspire XC deal has J4125 CPU which has much lower TDP buy it is also much slower than i5 6500.
This is a good deal. Sometimes you can get from ebay for cheaper. I got one for $80 a few months back and it is still a very capable machine for handling all office work and streaming.

Performance on I5 6500 is better 40~55% for the popular Acer Aspire XC Celeron® Processor J4125,Both are quad-core
But Celeron® Processor J4125 supports Win11 system
TDP on I5 6500 is 5 times more than J4125, about 50W ,J4125 10W
DELL Optiplex 5040 is more scalable but uses DDR3
If you don't mind/do not need it, Dell 5040 is good choice
1. win11
2. lower wattage
3.ddr3
If you can, you can get Win11 and DDr4 by choosing i5 7400 for the same price.

Also, for those interested in maintaining these as Windows PCs, a reminder that the upcoming Windows 10 support end date is October 2025. You could install Windows 11 on this PC, but the 6th generation CPU means an automatic upgrade to Windows 11 isn't supported [microsoft.com] (which is part of what drives the price so low in the resale market).
Ignore the comparisons to Atom-based systems or dings on the CPU horsepower. For this price this PC would be a solid "productivity" computer easily capable of providing a good user experience for running Office applications or general-purpose browsing (as is true for most every quad core, i-series PC). I think the $200 Acer systems mentioned in the thread have better potential as long-term investments (assuming decent reliability) given their support for Windows 11. I also personally prefer that the Acer deals were sold by the manufacturer, rather than a third-party seller on Amazon as is the case in this deal.
Good luck!

But now pricing the very minimun acceptable graphics card these days, GT 1030 @ about $100
Or step up to GTX 1650 for about $250
