Only warning about the Asus Rog G15 is apperently they use liquid metal for the GPU thermal compound so be very very careful if you ever open this machine up (especially if you have to remove the cooling solution).
Only reason I ended up going MSI Delta 15 is because it is over 1 lb lighter than the vast majority of the machines in the same price range.
Not really.. the 6000 series isn't even a generational increase. It is just Zen 3+ which is a "more efficient" Zen 3 (uses lower wattage) and has slightly higher clock speeds. It also supports quad channel ram but good luck finding a laptop that would ever support quad channel. Sure Zen 3+ uses RDNA2 graphics on the chip, but you aren't buying a gaming laptop for the onboard graphics.
Also Zen 3+ uses DDR5 so the total cost goes up for not that much improvement with 2 dimm setups. In fact DDR5 still suffers from higher latency and stability issues.
All in all the review say there is about a 3% total increase in performance with Zen 3+_vs Zen 3 when you dont look at the iGPU.
Because this model uses liquid metal I would be very careful with open box and ensure no one has opened it up and screwed with it. Because you can make a mess of the board very fast.
