Is it possible to port out of Tracfone? I cannot find the account number and their chat customer service told me they cannot give it to me. I don't understand why their customer service refuses to give me my account number, I did not have this problem with other networks. I have a website account, but I cannot find the account number listed there. Any ideas?
Account number is the imei number, if you swap phone, that number also changes

So the account number changes, and it becomes the IMEI number of whatever phone you are currently using with the particular SIM card?

correct, because i ran into the issue before, I was trying to port my number to Visible, but because I was using my iPhone instead of the phone I got from HSN. that was how I figured out.

Porting out of tracfone:

Port-Out PIN: (text NTP to 611611)
Account Number: The IMEI of one of the phones on the account OR last 15-digits of the SIM ICCID (text "FOUR" to 611611 to figure out which one it is)
Zip Code: where you first opened the account Not necessarily where you live now.

After a harvesting the bundled plan, the SIM becomes 'empty'. If you want to re-use it you have have to buy new service time.

Yes, the device can be unlocked after 60 days since it has already been registered as activated in TF's system.

I have changed a couple of phones since I started with tracfone and I don't own the older phones any more. Which IMEI is the account number? The IMEI of the phone I am using now? So the account number changes each time I change my phone?
Just ported out and ran into this issue.

It's the original IMEI that you activated with. I had to learn this the hard way because I spoke to a few reps from my new and old service before someone finally gave me the correct info on why the port wasnt coming through.

When I originally opened my account a couple years ago, the default address was Miami FL 33178 (TF HQ). I didn't update it at that time. And just checked now, it still is (under Device). I don't see where I can change it online - it says to contact TF. But on the app, under Profile, it has my correct address. Can't find it visible anywhere online. So for porting purposes, I'm guessing it's the FL zipcode?

Yes from what I've researched online in some cases it is the TracFone zip code. They seem to make it ridiculous to Port out.

one of the worst phone ever used, especially elderly. I have seen two elderly with the same phone and they had so much problem with random crashes and hang. Shame to the engineers who work on the phone.

Thank you!
Got one.
Much cheaper than refills.

Anyway to bypass the hsn "new account" requirement, if deal comes up again?
Would get a new phone number each time, ya?

Dad only uses flip phone.
T-mobile legacy pay as you go plan.
$100 for 1000 minutes, for a year--and minutes roll over.

Hard to find a cheap (new) flip phone anywhere, except used on ebay.
Got harder as t-mobile only 4G now.

Dang, was hoping this could be a less smart phone for Google Voice but KaiOS doesn't support Google Voice
