That's in French, mon cheri... The abbreviation of "eau de parfum", means you could put it either directly on skin or on hair and the fragrance will stay there reasonably long. Good quality EDP, with a high concentration of aromatic oils, will last you all day.
In my younger days, when I courted girls, I once had good quality boutique brand EDP that reacted with my skin oils and pleasantly changed its aroma and retained smell well into the next morning. It was an all-natural 600 y old European recipe.

I bought one about 2-3 years ago with credit card points and have barely used half the bottle. Comes out to $83/oz whereas the spray bottle comes to ~$91/oz.
