Sure makes this generator sound promising. In any case, $416shipped after tax isn't bad so I grabbed one. Already have a Champion 4375/3500 dual-fuel w/ wheel kit and cover, but one is none and two is one when it comes to stuff like this in my opinion.

If the high temps and humidity is unbearable, you could power a small A/C window unit to at least keep one room comfortable.

Its best to have an electrician install a transfer switch. The switch will transfer power from the power lines to the generator. No need to run extensionpower cords. The switch will be installed at your breaker mains box and a cable to the generator. So when you lose power, run the generator, transfer power switch.
