To be honest, unless you are planning to go with the full ego system, very rarely does a tool only make sense because there are never deals on batteries and chargers.

Yeah..we've been noticing that it's not guaranteed that new items sold from amazon haven't been used...idk what the quality of return checks are like by employees but it's becoming more frequent..even if the purchase wasn't a warehouse item, it doesn't prevent the risk of u still getting a used and not new item..so disheartening..

I own the 530 (roughly same weight as 650 according to Ego's site) and the 765 and there doesn't seem to be a huge weight difference between the two. Performance wise the 765 makes the 530 feel like a toy, with superior trigger response time, variable speed trigger, and power. A 5.0 or larger battery is a must on the 765 though, as turbo mode will sometimes make the 2.5s stall out.

I wonder if it's this seller? But every 4-5 reviews say it's a beast then one or two say that it took a shit after a month….. the reviews makes this seem like a shady deal.. I have the 5300 and never had one problem in the last two years

Oh I think it lasts long enough to blow dry a car. I've done that plenty of times with it. It just doesn't seem to last long enough to blow the leaves off my front yard. And the yard isn't huge.

For those without any Ego batteries/chargers, 650 w/ 4.0 battery and charger is currently $234. Might be a good compromise for those not wanting to shell out $279 for the 5.0 kit or $320 for the 765 kit.

I believe you always get the max CFM on turbo no matter the attachment (or none), it's the max air speed of 180 mph that you need the tapered nozzle to be able to reach.
