Many reasons Mini 3 Pro is better (and hence pricier, or has the Pro moniker) than Mini 2

1) Obstacle Avoidance system - It has additional obstacle avoidance sensors which Mini 2 lacks, these are available in higher end DJI drones and first time in a Mini (sub-250 gram drone) series
2) Better Camera and sensor - 48MP vs 12 MP, better low light shots and video, 60fps in 4K mode
3) Native Vertical shooting support
4) Integrated Remote Controller with Screen - Available as an upgrade option in Mini 3, not available with Mini 2
5) And others

These are of value to some (to justify the higher price), not to everyone.

The refurb ones at ebay were around this price. The fly more bundle at Amazon and B&H was $480 on Prime day. Fly more bundle has another battery plus charging dock plus few other accessories which are worth over $80.

Costco had it 2 months at $440 + $100 shop card. Was wondering if price will drop to there again. I don't need one right now so I will wait..

Just only fly it on your property and above your property for liability reasons. Uav legally requires 12 years old and up to pilot if you are in the US. I think most people wouldn't be bothered to approach you about it if you did fly out in public but just telling you just in case.
