I got this set last August and I am very pleased with it, as there is little to no fluff. Meaning there isn't a blower/flashlight.

I would say this is 100% way to go if you need most of these tools.

I hate how they sneak in mini-circular saws in these packs. Got the similar memorial day deal with a few XR parts and a full size saw for 499.

Loving all the parts, if you don't mind the mini-saw this is a fantastic deal.

Unless you need to Rip 2x material this saw will get any cross cutting or cutting of sheet material done with ease.

If you're working with this for a living then yes maybe you want a 7-1/4 but for home use or just doing projects this circular saw its great. I've seen guys that work in framing that prefer these since they are lighter to carry around. But to each their own.

I have this set. Does everything I need. Haven't used the angle grinder yet because I'm not out stealing bikes and catalytic converters

lol, these aren't just for bikes. I used mine to cut a cast iron bathtub into 4 pieces to get it out of the house. Though definitely needed to recharge often.

this seems like the same clearance deal that HD had going on back in February/March of 2026. I went in on that deal and so far it's been alright. I wish the tools had a little bit more power, but overall the deal was pretty darn good!

Its not their entry level though. The standard MAX is their entry level. XR is their pro line and their Atomic is smaller size (hence the name).
Some people (myself included) prefer the atomic for the smaller size and lighter weight. Yes, sometimes that means there's more plastic but they are very capable tools and nearly as good as the XR.

This is the set to migrate you. Its got good tools, no fluff pieces, and proper storage. It doesn't mean you need to get out of Ryobi, but you'll naturally find preferences when you work and one set will take over.
