Great starter set, and it omits counting a light as a tool.

I bought this back in October and it's been same price ever since. Great starter set! I bought lights separately from Woot deals and they've been great.

Great price if you need all these, or if just need a few and have the patience to sell the rest. It was $499 back in October as @tacofeaster mentioned. I picked it up as I needed the orbital sander. Kept the sander and the angle grinder and sold the rest of the set for $400 so happy to get both those tools for $50/each.

It would depend on which model vs which, but generally speaking (and there certainly are exceptions) DeWalt 20V Max XR tools are gonna beat Ryobi brushless pretty handily. Now if you start going for brushed DeWalt or maybe 12V, or even 20V Atomic, you will have to get into the specs a little deeper to determine the winner.

These Dewalts are basically Pro level tools. If you're doing Pro Level things or want a quality tool and can afford the price tag, by all means click the buy button. Since you had to ask though, you're probably better off grabbing those Ryobi brushless tools you're wondering about. If you truly need Dewalt stuff you'd know it. For the same price you could probably buy like 20+ different Ryobi tools.

Yeah, man, back in 1962. That's when I paid $89,000 for my mansion. Good ol times.
