same here bummer - got the other 2 items but went back for the vac and it's no longer available
Ditto -- it really is a bummer as Bosch rarely has sales on 18v tools.

Probably because you are being charged $79 for truck delivery. You'll likely have to pickup if free delivery isn't an option…

How many batteries/chargers does an average homeowner need? From a previous SD, I have two 2.0 amp batteries to go with drill/driver combo and one charger. I now will have three chargers and four batteries. Should I sell two chargers and two batteries...and keep one 2.0 amp and one 4.0 amp? Thanks!

Sweet Deal! I wanted the multi-tool but could not find it for less than $130 a few months ago (no battery), and bought HF. Still NIB, and within 90 days - returning HF :-)
I have plenty Bosch 18V tools, batteries and chargers (1.3, 2, 4, 6.3 Ah, and 2A, 4A, 6A, and 8A chargers) - more batteries for free is fine with me!
Starlock is not a concern, but being cordless will be really nice for outdoor projects!

Don't need the Vac since I managed to score the $30 SS corded vac from Walmart recently thanks to SD!

I've been there and was angry about that as well but it's their way to do business to send back the gift card payment back unless you go to the store and cancel it there. Then you don't have to wait for the mail.
But you do need to travel to a store before you can place another order with the gift card. That's just bureaucratic bs and isn't going to leave anyone happy. This is a useful reminder that gift cards are not equivalent to cash. I'll take cash any day, even at 90c on the $.

Good point. Looks like you can buy an adapter but reviews of that are mixed. I personally would have little use for this. The wired HF one I got years ago still does what I need on the rare occasions I use it.

I'm not an expert but generally I tend to avoid battery powered tools unless I have a specific need for them. For tools I use only occasionally I would always go with wired because they are generally more powerful (per $ spent) and I don't have to worry about the batteries deteriorating while sitting for years in a sometimes very hot garage. I also don't have to worry about buying different brands and not having the batteries be interchangeable. Lastly, while not having to deal with a power cable is a definite convenience, a battery adds extra bulk and weight to a tool. Take this oscillating tool for instance, the battery could impact the positions in which you can use the tool. With all that said...

The sander looks like a great deal. Brushless and with a 4.0 Ah battery. In for 1.
the starlock blades are very expensive -and i could not find an adapter to use regular blades , Do you know any adapters for this tool?

The sander was too good to pass up. It has gotten great reviews so I bit. This is now the fifth line of tools I'm invested in. I think I have a problem…

Others in this thread say that Starlock is a common standard across multiple brands. I assume some of them are cheaper than others.

Dewalt runs a discount almost always on the MAX XR Oscillating for $99 often with a 1.3Ah battery. And it is a quick change mechanism (not proprietary & blades are cheaper).

There may be one in stock at a nearby store, try changing the pickup store

Went into the store where I had the sander and oscillating tool ordered and picked them up. The wet/dry vac was unavailable On the app. However when I got to the shelf there was one available And it rang up at the sale price , however the sales associate and I could not find another battery kit And customer service would not Put one on back order. But I have enough 18v batteries and chargers so they really be loss of I was to resell. So if you are looking for the vac and don't care much about the battery, It's worth ignoring the app and checking out checking out stock in the store.

there is an adaptor made overseas iirc but reports are it wears. It really isn't worth getting into this. I've been picking up freud blades at home depot when they have them on a deal not starlock compatible. Unless you want to be in the minority for hunting for compatible blades (fein and bosch being only ones that use these iirc) i'd stay away if you're looking for only 1 tool. plenty of other choices worx has good sales on their non brushless, kimo who seems to be popular in cordless ratchets has a 2 battery deal (non brushless).

That said i did buy this, not sure if i'll keep it though , i'm on all bosch but always stayed away from this and their xlock angle grinder thing as i don't want to go hunting for crap when i'm busy...

"Starlock" is a fancy name for "proprietary"
Yet other manufacturers use it... Maybe you should look up what proprietary means.
