Placed order 10 minutes ago for pickup using different stores. Wanted to cancel extra "free" battery, however I am only given the option to cancel the saw combo.

I cannot even cancel the entire order, as there is no option or link whatsoever to cancel the "free" battery at all, only the saw combo. Very strange.

Yeah even the SMS associates are refusing to cancel just the battery order. An internal memo must have been sent out. Oh well, it's only a slight inconvenience to call the store and have them cancel the battery. I chose different stores for pick up as well.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I will have to call the store to cancel the battery now. Not a big deal, I just thought it was strange, as I have done a lot of these HD deals with the hacks over the years, and never experienced this type of glitch. Like you said, perhaps it is due to an internal memo or whatever.

The 6.5 inch circular saw + battery still works for me. In addition, you can also select a Random orbital sander (tool-only) as the free item. I'm talking about the 6.5 inch circular saw, not to be confused with the 7.5 inch saw.

It's not a glitch, they've changed their checkout process for these B1G1 deals to prevent people from hacking it. There's still a way (choosing 2 different pickup stores) but you can't have them shipped to home and still pull the deal off without returning an item (and hoping that they allow you to just cancel one of the items).

This is my first hack - been looking for a small cordless circular saw for around the house as well as an entry point to the Milwaukee platform.

I had to select Ship to Store (wouldn't let me pick two different stores) for both items. How will it work to return the bonus battery - do I just pick both items up and then circle back around to the returns desk to return the battery?

Or is $79 for the 5.0 battery a good enough price that I should just keep it?

No don't get both items and try to return. Ship one to your local store and then in store pickup for the battery at any other store. Ship to store and store pickup are considered same method

It wouldn't let me choose a different store for this order. I also ordered (on a separate order) the angle grinder and it *did* allow me to choose a different store for the bonus battery.

Now what should I do? Am I screwed?

Maybe try with the app. Just added both to cart and it still let me select different stores with the 6.5 saw. If you screenshot the order checkout page that shows price breakdown they might be able to help at the customer service desk in store. They matched the online deal for me one day when they were sold out online for a past bundle.

I strongly suspect that they will either be canceling orders, or only shipping with 1 battery. Most of these Milwaukee deals posted this morning are clearly screwups by someone working at HD (I didn't want to say the "M" word).

I'm sorry - I already placed the order earlier this morning. The bonus battery is available for pickup now, the saw is coming end of the week. Are you saying I won't be able to pick up the battery today and return it separately and still get the saw?

Yep...just got the email my order was cancelled.

"Unfortunately, the below items are out of stock, and we have canceled them from your order. We apologize for the inconvenience."

EDIT: Actually in looking at my order in my Account status, they just cancelled the battery as out of stock and the saw is still "Processing" for the $89.81 + tax. Hopefully that stays true!
