I bought this one last time - and the circular shaped style last year. My preference for comfort in sitting is the circular shaped style. You have to sit in one spot with the avocado style - and it forces you to lean back but doesn't provide a spot to rest your head.
The 7 yr old preferred the circle style as well. His reasoning is on the circle style when he slams into the wall (accidentally of course) his legs are tucked in and the frame hits first. Note: our circle style has been continually slammed into the wall and is still holding up >1 year of heavy use.
BTW these chairs are excellent for kids with extra energy that want to sit and hang out but still need to move.

It sounds like you're using them inside? What kind of anchoring do you use?

Trying to find which you refer to as circle style too. I only see the chair one with a circle base.
Seems like this would get wet and smelly if you hang it outside. Maybe it's made of something different than what I would think a macrame swing would be made of though.

It's cotton blend so I don't think it's meant to sit outside year round.
