No, the soundbar has a special sensor that detects vaulted ceilings and when in a room of that type the unit will not power up.

I've got something similar to this from Samsung (got the soundbar + swf at Costco) and then got the rear speakers.

This works great, sounds great too.

The receiver for the wireless back speakers is in direct line of sight from the soundbar (might help with quality).

I always wanted a AV receiver with the whole 5.1 / 7.1 crazy big setup. This ends up working well for my average family room.

I recommend this.

I have very high ceilings and bought a TCL Atmos Sound bar that I found on SD. Atmos won't work well with vaulted ceilings. Looking at this or the 11ch Samsung to replace it 🤔 I'm in for one.

*I canceled my order after realizing this requires the rear speakers are required to be plugged into the wireless receiver. Can anyone recommend a sound bar setup with true wireless rear speakers without the price of Atmos?.

Looks like other Samsung soundbars where there's a separate rear receiver than needs to be plugged into an outlet for power. The rear speakers are connected to this rear receiver using speaker wires and the rear receiver gets the audio signal wirelessly from the soundbar.

Question I don't believe the speaker system is on rtings. Should I instead get the Vizio 5.1 version for $330 or this?
