In for one, thanks. Usually get the Chicken of the Sea at Costco, which is in water in 7oz cans with pull tabs.

These are in soy/vegtable oil in 5oz cans with no pull tab, but for the price it's hard to go wrong I think.

What's the price at Costco? Trying to figure out if this is a better deal than Costco.

Albacore =/= chunk light. Albacore will always be more expensive than chunk light, so not an apple-to-apple comparison. Granted, this deal is decent for chunk light in oil.

Going off memory last I purchased, but I think it was $12 or $14 for the $12 pack
https://www.costco.com/chicken-of-the-sea-chunk-light-premium-tuna-in-water%2C-7-oz%2C-12-count.prod... [costco.com]

I know I've purchased it for $10 before, but the price has been going up.

It shows $19 online but I think that's after they jacked up the online price.

I prefer tuna in oil with a little added vinegar. This is a good deal. Thumbs up OP.

Yes, and for tuna, Sam's Club is usually better than Costco, as they have their branded Albacore (in water). $12.98 for 5oz 8pk.
Costco often run sales on Sardines, though.

I like the pouches for the portability and convenience. The StarKist chunk light tuna in water 12 pack of pouches is still on sale for $8.94 and even better with S&S. You got the same amount of tuna in a can as you do a pouch. The difference in weight is the liquid in the can Weatherby water or oil. I bought 48 pouches and the expiration date is July 2024.

Albacore does have the most mercury content of the canned tuna varieties though. If you eat canned tuna often it's best to avoid albacore.

Buy quality Albacore. Not in oil. Processed oils like canola are inflammation catalyts and unhealthy. Costco has Wild Planet, which is a lot better than Bumblebee/COTS brand.
