V1 was trash (issues with X570 motherboards), I hear V2 is better. Specs are better than Quest but no wireless, which, after you try it, it's hard to go back if standalone VR is your thing. That being said, if you're buying this for sim aviation or racing, it's great (since wireless won't matter in those cases). You'll need to use voicemeeter if you have bass shakers set up.
Edit: also, controllers suuuuuuuuuuck.
Edit 2: personal opinion, unless you really need VR right now for some reason, I'd probably wait to see what new tech is going to come out for 2023.
Not under 300 anymore with the price hike, 399 is the starting point

No issue with the device. Everything work. only tip is don't have custom resolution or you will have connection issue and you will be pulling and unplugging cables for awhile lol
No audio jack but you can use voicemeter to output to two device. If you prefer different headset or you want to setup woojer device as well
Can anyone tell if this is the first or second version of the G2? I tried to look through the documents but I'm assuming they wouldn't sell the old one anymore…

Yeah, it's pretty hard to beat the value of the Quest 2 on these headsets. Under $300, 120hz display, comes with two decent controllers, and they're pretty easy to mod/adapt. The downside is buying into Zuck's collective
The next big breakthrough on VR headsets will be autofocusing on your eyes (like lens machines do at the eye doctor). Not sure how far out that will be though.

Yeah the price hike surprised me, purchased the Q2 at release and while good the screen door effect really killed the immersion. Sold it and now Looking forward to trying out the G2.

One of the longest threads in SD history with the longest-tenured community support of any Android tablet... One can only hope!
