Other than the "dock" form factor, what would be the difference between this and the Anker 7-in-1 hub?

Great price!

Just make sure you see the 1-2 weeks for shipping. I pre-ordered mine on 7/15 - shipped on 7/25 - it's probably still on a boat 'somewhere'. The tracking number doesn't help
Glad to see I am not the only one. I had one ship on 7/25 and the tracking is worthless.

I just bought this one after reading this post, with the added 4 split payments from PayPal to make it even sweeter.

I've been looking for a docking station for a while, but just got the JCA379 (max 100W PD) from Walmart for this exact amount, and used it with a 8BitDo adapter to an Xbox wireless controller. They worked really well. JSaux devices are exactly what they advertised.

Now, I understand why 30 Hz resolution is a no-go because the experience with the JCA379 .

This upgraded 6-in-1 HB0603 docking can do 60 Hz, and is a much better option.

Your post was the answer to my prayers.

Thank you so much!

Applause

Decent deal, but covers the fan holes which is a no go from my perspective if you plan on using the SteamDeck while in the dock. Not sure why they didn't fix this in the revision/update.
It looks like you just place the device in the hub and there are not guides to force you to center it, so you can just shift the deck slightly to the right and those vents won't be covered.

Same concept but that Anker hub you posted only does 4k 30hz and lacks a gigabit Ethernet port.

The dock has Ethernet instead of SD/microSD and the dock has 4K@60Hz instead of @30Hz with the hub. Also, the dock costs less, but isn't shipped from Amazon. I would assume you could plug the dock in without putting the Deck in the cradle portion, if you're concerned about the air intakes being blocked.

Looking at the back of my Steam Deck, the area where the dock overlaps the air intake is only around 1mm deep past the hex grill. The area higher up is deeper, so I'm assuming that's where most of the air flows.

This companies products don't generally last long, I'll never buy anything else from them.

Good call!!! If you can offset this may be good. With USB-C hubs being jacked up price wise (I have one I got for like $10 a few years ago) it's almost worth it equivalent cost wise to printing.

Those are intake. As long as the top is free and clear you'll have zero issues. Think about holding the Deck; some people have the intake blocked more than you would think.
Who the heck would block those vents by holding their Deck? King Kong maybe!

I'd avoid any blockage as it is designed as such for a reason.

Nice looking dock, too bad that ethernet comes out of the side like that though. I feel like they could've eliminated one USB port and moved the ethernet port back there. I hate it when you have a clean set up and then have some random cable sticking out of the side. I see that a lot in docks.
Ethernet cables are thin and flexible enough that it shouldn't be too much of a problem that it comes out the side. Just bend it at a good radius (not hard/sharp) and cable tie it to the other cords to hold it in place. I've had situations where a device was an inch from a wall and the ethernet was at a hard 90 without issue. I wouldn't recommend that but just shows these cards are flexible. For a static install, it's fine, if you're constantly bending/straightening, that's where you're likely to run into problems.

Is it just me, or is a tip option on a hardware/physical product purchase kind of odd?

Code doesn't work for me either so it seems the deal is dead.
