agreed 950 seems pretty steep you can get effectively teh same perf all over the place for 6-700. this is hardly better than the 12gb let alone the 10 gb. Heck i've seen 3090's new on ebay for this price.
It's a nice GPU, but the price is still inflated in my opinion. I would not pay more than $800 for the best GPU out there which is the 3090 TI. If enough of us make these guys pay by not buying at these prices, it would send these companies a clear message.
Still aiming for $600 for a 6800xt or 3080 12GB If it doesn't hit that level by October I will simply wait for next gen. Not paying more. Period. End of discussion. Even that is inflated....I should be asking $500 at this point.
3080 12gb (Asus Strix or EVGA FTW3) can be had for $800. They should be in the same performance ballpark and are much more reliable AIBs. Checkout PNY issues with cooling and warranty on reddit.
