I bought this new a couple of years ago and have been pretty happy with it. Have yet to feel limited by the RAM.

What a shame. Are there any ryzens without dgpus that even have RAM slots now?

I believe there are previous threads about this laptop as well as the Intel i5 chip version. I don't remember all the differences, but I believe there were differences and the i5 came out on top for only a little bit more in cost.

Can anyone comment on this laptop, without dedicated graphics card, and editing videos on it? I know the ryzen and Vega are decent for games...

A refurb sounds like a bad idea. I had many issues with a new laptop. Buyer beware!
shouldn't let that stop you.

At first glance, the 8GB RAM looks like a potential bottleneck - if not now, at least in near future. And the fact that it is non-upgradable is a concern for continued usability.

I think I'm noticing a trend of clearance prices for mid-range laptops with 8gb or lesser RAM esp non-upgradable ones, possibly hinting manufactures already know how soon they'd become practically obsolete and are trying to clear stock.

But if you understand what you're getting into, sounds like a solid price for the spec. If you're considering this, you may also want to take a sec to look at the Asus Gaming Laptop deal from Costco for $510 to see if that would suit your needs better.

I had this along with the 13.5" Intel one.

Solid laptop, but the response times on the screen are garbage. It was very rough to watch any FPS gameplay videos on - the ghosting was insane.

Other than that it was fine
