This is why line set length is so important. Maybe 13ft is enough, but maybe you need 25ft. If you need 50 ft, you will likely need to add refrigerant as the charge that comes with the unit is meant for runs up to 25 ft.
I learned a lot through the install of this unit - adding a 20 amp circuit, running the romex, transitioning to THHN for outside and the disconnect, etc (so many codes/standards). Let me be clear though - if you have hesitations, DO NOT DIY. Do what you can and sub out certain parts (electrical, condenser set up, etc).
All that said - I really like this system. It is SO QUIET. The interior unit is barely audible and the outdoor unit just sounds like a soft fan - you can barely hear the compressor.
I missed the Pioneer deal at Home Depot, so I looked at the ongoing deals at Costway. I wanted a 9k btu/115v system (room is only 200 sq ft), but also needed 25ft of line to get from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit. Most of these systems come with 16ft, and the costway unit here is 13.
I ended up purchasing a 9k unit from another vendor that allowed me to select what length I needed (0ft, 16ft, 25ft, 50ft). Cost me $719 shipped for an Olmo unit. For some reason, SouthMiniSplits did not charge me tax or shipping.
