Great RAM. Even with DDR5 out, keep in mind you would need a MB that supports it. I am sure alot of people out there with "pandemic builds", this is a great option to max out their capacity to 64GB for a good price to get maximum use out of their current build before a complete upgrade.

You would have to justify anything higher than 16 or 32GB of RAM. Are you doing anything that's RAM heavy? If not, then why get 64? I could've gone 16GB to save some money but I plan to play around with some VM's and not just gaming so I went for 32. I have never seen my rig go above 11GB usage. If all you're doing is gaming I believe even 16GB would be good for another 5 years.

Oh, completely agree. Specific use cases of anyone actually needing > 32GB Smilie Gaming or "normal" use alone 16GB would suffice and 32GB would be extreme for the life of the build.

Got this last week for an upgrade for $129.99 at Best Buy. Works fine and is pretty. Just be sure to adjust the speed in bios.

Will this work on a ASRock Z370 Pro4 motherboard? Asking because I recently bought some Patriot DDR4 dimms that were not compatible so just want to make sure.

You could check the motherboard manual or support section on the manufacturer's website. They typically have a certified hardware compatibility list, which shows everything they've tested.

But this doesn't mean other stuff won't work. I have a Gigabyte motherboard and got some Crucial Ballistix RAM. It wasn't on the compatibility list, but it works fine. Mfgrs can't test everything, so if it meets the minimum specs it should be OK (don't buy DDR5 RAM for a DDR4 motherboard; that won't work - one example).

Look at the memory compatibility...that will tell you which type and speed will work.

You only need this much RAM if you're going to use Chrome. 😂

Couldn't agree more. 16 gig with multiple tabs in each browser is not enough. I'm looking for 16 or 32 but can't justify spending more than 50 bucks for 16 that's how much I got it for once a couple years back when many businesses were out of business

Chrome uses a lot of RAM but more than 16GB? You'd have to have at least 50 tabs open or something.
