ps. My best friend last year was a DD driver and nothing sucks more than trying your best and getting nothing for the effort. Whether climbing 3+ flights of stairs, keeping your stuff warm in a nice insulated bag (not the flimsy garbage DD provides) all the while paying $4-5 a gallon for gas.

As a former food courier myself, I implore those using these services:
1. To tip a reasonable amount given cost of living in your area, distance traveled, extra time or effort required to deliver to you, etc. The old 15%-20% measure isn't useful, if it ever really was, though it may be appropriate for a "Short-hop" or larger value order.
Tips aren't a minority of the payout like with rideshare. If you aren't getting orders with tips, you aren't making money as a courier. Period.
2. Realize that food couriers have the worst of all worlds in a sense. They're contractors with no employee rights or benefits, but have an acceptance metric to meet. Which means they can't just decline that Crawls Jr. value meal order that requires a 10 mile drive to the restaurant that's unpaid, and another 10 into a bad area of town for 5 bucks. A true contractor gets to reject money-losing work as they choose without consequence. A food courier does not.
3. Recognize that if your order is wrong, it's not the courier's fault unless they didn't check the tag and handed you someone else's food. 95% of the time orders are sealed at the restaurant. Where I am restaurants can't find and keep workers, and mistakes happen, and have on my 3-4 monthly orders.
4. If a mistake happens, DD has the best support in that biz. You can at least get someone right through the app to chat with, and in my experience they'll re-deliver the order or otherwise try to make you whole. Good luck with UE there, who made me send an email, responded 2 days later, and offered to do absolutely nada. Alternatively, contact the restaurant, if they won't make things right in some way you might decide to vote with your feet. Eating out in general, like everything, costs too much now to end up with shitty food and a source that DGAF.
Plenty more to say, but already wrote a book by accident. Thanks for considering...
Then let them do some other work if they are not satisfied with this line of work. It's not my f'n problem to ensure if someone else is making enough money or not because they don't care about my income.
You realize being a delivery driver is unskilled labor right? Which means the only thing you can do to get paid is to put in physical work to take stuff from a to b. Nothing else. That's your sole job and if you still complain about that, sit at home - there is no shortage of people who are ready to do that job.
I didn't look at my CC charge history, but I added PayPal to my account to my Walmart account to buy this and it got canceled for possible fraud or something. Ugh. Only ordered one card, so I don't think the cancellations are related to quantity. Gonna try to order with CC this time.
Edit: great, now it's just saying my CC can't be authorized.
Same here. Canceled PayPal and cc. Qty doesn't seem to be a factor, tried ordering just 1...
Yup i placed 3 different denominations together first & separate once that was cancelled… all cancelled w the unusual activity message.. they used to be 15-20% off earlier. Not worth following up w cust service for 10%

Wait so you're not tipping your drivers?
It's more crazy in bay area. $12 dish in store is listed at $18 for delivery. DD also charges an extra $3 regulatory fee even if I have dashpass
Once they are loaded into your doordash account, you will stop getting email coupons that are generally sent weekly.
Also, you will be unable to use other payment methods in doordash until your credits are finished (example: unable to use Chase Reserve $5/month credit since you must use your Chase card at checkout but will be unable to since it will default to using your doordash gift card credits with no way of selecting your chase reserve credit card to use instead.).
However, the Chase credits do not require paying with the chase card. for the specific purchase. It just has to be linked to the account to get the credits. You are most definitely incorrect on the Chase Reserve credit assertion you made.
What a wild concept... just ordering directly from the restaurant without injecting a high profit middle man that basically does nothing other than to inflate the price of your meal. Crazy, I say
