If you don't need the racket, this is a better deal than the 4 tool set that was posted previously for about $295

The OP's deal is not really a better deal, it is basically the same deal minus the ratchet compared to the 4-tool deal, which is reflected by the lower price. One could actually probably flip the ratchet from the 4-tool deal and come out slightly ahead of the price of this deal.

But yes, if someone does not want the either the ratchet, the stubby, or any other tool on the list, and does not want the hassle of flipping tools, then go this route. As OP stated, you can basically add any tool from the drop down list (or none at all) to customize your own kit.

Don't try and split the order. Ship both to home and return the battery to store.

This is better than the 4 tool deal in March. I paid $269 after tax for 3 tools. This Home Depot price trick is getting old. ☹️

I got the m12 fuel impact driver and drill alone in another set. I gotta say the ergonomics of the handle are kind of fat. The trigger is also very thick. Also compared to my dewalt 20v the weight is somewhat similar. But the dewalt has a much more pleasing handle and balance. I guess this is personal preference but I wanted to put it out there and see if anyone had a similar experience. I'll probably be returning them

I wouldn't even do the hack, this is a good price for the kit at $270 with the 3/8 stubby.

I love the M12 fuel impact driver and I think it's a fantastic tool. I can't compare it to DeWalt though. Generally speaking, the two brands are comparable enough to go with whatever feels best to you. Sounds like you might be best served by returning the set.

Did you have to do anything weird to check out? I couldn't get it to work either.

I too get "technical error - check your cart" at the very last step of placing the order.

I was able to place an order for a different combo so it looks like there's an issue with this one. Maybe it'll be sorted out later today one way or another.

UPDATE: after working with Home Depot customer support they have confirmed an issue with this offer and created a ticket with their IT department. The problem appears to be something related to the free battery. No resolution as yet.

UPDATE2: now out of stock for the combo with impact wrench.

Help me please. I don't know much about tools.

I recently bought the Makita drill & impact drill set from ebay for $83. Here is the link: https://slickdeals.net/f/15922963-makita-cxt-12v-drill-impact-driver-w-2x-1-5-ah-batteries-charger-refurb-83-free-shipping?attrsrc=search%3Aterm%3Amakita%7Csearch%3Apage%3A1%7Csearch%3Aposition%3A3%7Csearch%3Aresult_type%3Athread%7Csearch%3Aresult_id%3A15922963&src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

Is this a better deal? I know brushless is better but brand reputation-wise I heard both Makita and Milwaukee are top tier.

Is this that much better than the certified refurbished makita that comes with 2 year warranty?

You got a great deal on great tools. If the tools you bought fit your needs then don't look back. No matter what you buy you'll always find something a little better and more expensive. These Gen3 Milwaukee tools look great now but when the Gen4 comes out soon I'm sure there will the usual round of upgraditis.
