3070s dropped earlier this week and are still for sale. EVGA had a sub $500 3070 as well. Prices on RTX may finally lower under MSRP.

I've been waiting 2 years. I can hold a few more months

This is certainly a helpful post for those who are following the market, it appears mid-/lower tiers RTX 30 card prices are finally coming down. It looks they are pressed really hard to empty the inventories.

But still I think it's fair to say this is probably the worst timing to buy those cards. Unless you really need one of them now, there's no rush at those prices. They won't go away, prices won't go up, and more likely waiting will pay off rather quickly.
Yup. Come black Friday the market is going to be utterly flooded with these cards at fire sale pricing.

So sick of these manufacturers and scalpers. I bought the same model used for $620 a few months back. Keep blaming on COVID and shet but it's people and their greed and thats the root cause.

Either this at $ 399 or 3070 FE at $ 499. 6700 XT falls between 3060 Ti and 3070 for non ray tracing performance, and significantly below 3060 Ti for ray tracing performance. 6700 XT only makes sense when it's the same price as 3060 Ti.

I snagged a 3060 TI as I really doubt the lower end cards are going to drop/lose as much of their value as the higher tier cards. It's no different than any comparison of a utility tier item vs. a luxury tier item. That 130K Mercedes S class will lose 50% of its value in 5 years, while the 35K Toyota may only lose about 25% of its value, etc.

With the higher end cards dropping I am hoping somebody with a 3060ti might want to upgrade and then I can buy from them.
