Public Service Announcement (PSA): NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 Graphics Card is currently in stock to order online and pick up in store at Best Buy for $399. I'm having problems finding a good 3060 Ti card below $400, so I ordered this and will hang on to it until Cyber Monday. It can be returned until January 14th if a better deal is found.
Note: It is MSRP, but if you have a Chase Freedom card you can get 5 points for every dollar spent at Best Buy.

Unfortunately, they are not...
I agree that it would be nice if they were. While they are at it, let's make them $299.

They raised prices nearly 1% per 1% performance increase. Unless you count inflation, there is a near zero value improvement. If you do count it, there's around a 15% or so cost decrease for the same performance (crickets).

Normally we get a meaningful increase in performance per dollar with a new generation. Instead they decided to shift the entire scale upwards. Why give them more for their money when we can just dangle progress in front of them, and REEDUCATE them that if you want more performance you pay more money, regardless of time elapsed. Is RTX 5080 going to be 50% faster than 4080 and release at $1800? Lol. The BS can't continue indefinitely. They are shifting the scales upward, or trying to. That sounds nice except...people are pissed about the 4080 12GB BS lie disaster (which at least they owned up to, sort of...after getting caught with no excuse : /), we are in a recession, demand from the mining crash is extremely weak, the used market is saturated, and AMD is bringing notable competition at MUCH more competitive prices.

I suspect rapid discounts in the coming months. Hold.

Price crash on what inventory? From what I've seen, most decent cards are out of stock regularly at inflated prices still. FE seem to be nowhere in site. "Hold the line, hold the line, black friday, black friday" is all we heard and there were maybe 2 sales on RTX cards from not-so-popular brands?

SD is filled with blinded people giving bad advice more often these days.

If you need a card and are ok with the price, buy it. Don't get left holding your D after reading all of this misinformation from butthurt people.

Read my post history. I've been right about, literally everything. There is an artificial shortage. Nvidia admitted this in an earnings call where they are restricting sell in to keep 3XXX prices high…which helps justify the absurd 4XXX prices until the house of cards comes down, which it is. Tech sites are littered with articles and reviews talking about how absurd the 4080 is. Nobody is buying it. They're raising prices notably in the midst of a new supply surplus, used market surplus, and massive demand destruction from the mining crash, all while the economy slips into a recession and RDNA3 releases with much better performance per dollar. The best deals the past 6 weeks have all been 6XXX cards. I said they'd fall more but more slowly and they have. I could see how you'd confuse me for miss Cleo, but it's just logic. That's why I knew what was unfolding, and what will happen shortly.

Read more carefully before you come at me again.
