Amazon sells a similar earphone (Life P3), the only difference being the P3 comes with a wireless charging case and this Note 3 does not. Also, the P3 is currently more expensive at $80 but more color options: https://a.co/d/1mGLrbP

The P3 which is the same earbuds as this Note 3 is highly rated:

https://www.rtings.com/headphones...y-wireless
"Best Truly Wireless Earbuds Under $100"
The Anker SoundCore Life P3 Truly Wireless are the best Î’luetooth earbuds under $100 that we've tested. These versatile buds have a few features that make them stand out from other buds in this price range. Out of the box, they have a bass-heavy sound profile that's well-suited for thumpy and boomy genres like EDM and hip-hop. You can tweak and adjust it to your liking using their companion app's graphic EQ and presets. The buds also have an ANC system with three adjustable levels, meaning you can target different kinds of noise. Using 'Transport' mode, they can block out an excellent amount of ambient noise, including the low rumble of bus and plane engines.

While their continuous battery life of under six hours is less than many of the other picks on this list, their carrying case holds an extra four charges. They also have a good build quality certified IPX5 for resistance against direct water contact and have a comfortable in-ear fit for long listening sessions. Their integrated mic offers a fair overall performance, which is expected from in-ears as the mic sits far away from your mouth.

P3 is the cutdown model of the Air 2 Pro. Anker is always about one generation behind the current leaders at lower price. Take for example the current leaders in TWS are Sony WF-1000XM4, Momentum 2 TWS (soon 3), Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro (soon Pro 2), Bose QuiteComfort, and the King of ios Apple Earbuds Pro. They generally have the follow characteristics, ANC that is 'industry leading,' wear detection, ambient model, +/- speech detection (this is a plus and a minus often too sensitive, clearing your throat turns off your music, yea), high-def codex and in-app Eq. There are other features, but these are general them.

1. ANC you are creating an inverse frequency to 'cancel' the noise and combined with passive (fit in your ear) create your personal music space. ANC is difficult to get just right, you need external mic to pick up noise, multiple mic to detect direction a noise, and use a algorism to 'cancel' the noise. Speed of processing is key, constant dull noise is ease, it is consist, but sudden or varying noise if difficult and require consistent CPU processing, this is way Sony created they own processor for the headsets and earbuds. (Anker Liberty 2 Pro is mid-tier good for constant noise, but poor for say crying baby, it is the passive doing the work is that case, get good foam tips and they will make the difference, Anker does not have the R&D budget of Sony or the margins of Sony, they buy good off-the-shelf designs, while Sony uses custom R&D.)

2). On-wear detection. This is old tech at this point, it is a optic sensor that detect light and dark. (No R&D, just cost of sensor). Liberty 2 Pro has this , P3 does not.

3). Ambient mode. That is just the ANC mic passing sound to the drivers. Both P3 and Liberty 2 Pro has this.

4). Speech detection. This is newer feature for higher end like XM4, Buds Pro, but of questionable value. Like I said before clearing your throat is the same as speech for most of them.

5). High-Def Codex. Most higher-end uses LDCT or AptxHD, but this will likely change with the upcoming Bluetooth Audio Codex. Liberty 2 Pro uses LDCT, and P3 does not.

6). In-App Eq

I got them for $50 from best buy the last time they were on sale. They are really good for certain use cases. The sound quality is actually pretty good. Better than Jabra elite 75t. Unlike the jabra they don't make your ears feel clogged. That wad the biggest reason I went for them despite owning the 75t and samsung buds pro. The anc works pretty well too, especially considering the stem design. However, workout earbuds these are not. Even walking makes them wiggle in my ear and the left bud wants to come out all the time. I just went on a run with them and started searching for workout ear buds when I chanced upon this thread. All thsf being said, I would not hesitate to buy them at 40. Totally worth it at that price.

6). In-App Eq. Both have them, no real difference in Eq.

7). Sound Quality. Too subjective, Anker P3 and Liberty 2 Pro are more similar than they are different, they use the same basic drive tech, Liberty 2 Pro drivers are bigger, more bass and treble extension. Questionable if everyone can hear that.

Those are my thoughts hope that helps. I have XM4, Jabra 75T and 85T, Buds Pro, P3, Liberty 2 Pro, and Liberty 3. My EDC is Liberty 2 Pro, they can be had new for 62 dollars or refurbed for less when on sale. Good enough for everyday, and I would not be sad if they are lost of damaged. XM4 is by vacation pair, I do not like the 85T or Buds Pro (they use oval eartip that does not work well for me, and many other people), Liberty 3 is okay, better than Liberty 2 Pro, but protrudes too much has like to fall out. Jarba 75T is retired by often I think Jabra 75T is the best balance of size/quality/crappy ANC (but it was a last gift to user addon, so I am grateful). Jabra 3/5/7 are just not the same quality. Oh, while I have the P3, they are been give to my kids. I think the DOT 2 XR refurb is better. I have those as well. The All-state warranty really works, my XM4 broke after 1 year, and they just cut me a check to buy another one.
Great info. Thanks including the comment on the All-State refurbished warranty. I had been wondering about that.

TU. My local store had 1 left and now they are mine. I've had good luck with all anker products. We have anker chargers, cables, battery packs, a couple pair of headphone and now 2 sets of earbuds.

I was only able to find spec sheets for the non-"XR" models.

The Dot 2 XR is good enough for my needs: a secondary pair of wireless earbuds with ANC.

I read Anker would name the same models slightly differently depending on where they sell the models as to avoid price matching. The Dot 2 Xr is prob the same thing as the Dot 2.

No, not at all, dot 2 is completely in ear with a smaller driver and no ANC. Dot 2 XR has same level of ANC as P3 with in non-stem in-ear approach, which I prefer. P3 and Dot 2 XR has 11 mm drivers and Dot 2 has 8mm. Every different.

These are terrible. The bass is bloated and cannot be eqed down. It seems the bassup tech is some extra physical driver I'm the buds. Otherwise, they wouldn't sound too bad.

So the p series is below the air series? According to ratings the p3 was better than the air?

In for a set, I have/had a set of Anker life P3 that these are similar too. I loved them, but got ran thru the washer twice and one of the buds didn't come back from it so was looking for a replacement option.

Liberty 2 < P3 < Liberty 2 Pro. DOT 2 XR = P3, different form-factor. Anker likes to make intermediate product to target every segment, they segmentation game is too confusion.

Flagship is the current Liberty 3.
Pre-flagship is the Liberty 2 Pro.
Mid-tier is P3 = DOT 2 XR (no on-body detection, and smaller drivers).
Low-mid tier = DOT 2.

You can also i.d then by the driver size, Anker is bigger is better.
DOT 2 is 8 mm, DOT 2 XR and P3 are11 mm, Liberty Air 2 Pro is 11mm w/ added features, Liberty 3 is 10.6mm w/ 'special drivers' coaxial dual driver technology. You can also identify with the additive of High-Def Codex as reserved for flagship products (you have to pay for licensing) only high margin products can justify.
