I'd save up the extra $100 and get the Rep Fitness AB-3000.

Not when inclined. I think 5'7" is the max height when using it inclined, my opinion though. Your knees will be kinda high

Flat position is nice though no matter what your height is.

Not sure about this specific bench but I’m 6”6 and the “fitness reality super max xl bench” is plenty long for my height and was under 200$

I have both and I like them both for their own reasons. I like the simplicity of the BowFlex but they are really bulky and difficult for some exercises. I like how compact the PowerBlocks are but the weight selector is dumb and clunky. I use both just about every day and I'm glad I have them. I'd say if you're going to get one over the other, you'll have to pick your poison - easy to use/select weigh but bulky vs. silly weight selector but compact.

Side note: I absolutely loathe the trays for the BowFlex. At low weight, they're fine, but as soon as you get to the last 2 or 3 selections, it becomes difficult to get the weights back in the tray and when at max weight, I am regularly picking up the dumbell with the tray stuck to it. I hate that.

I haven’t used the Bowflex ones, but I love the Powerblocks and with Bowflex you have to buy the larger 1090 pair for $800 if you want the higher weight. With these, the two expansions that get to 70 and then 90 are about $180 each full price.

I haven't used the powerblocks but I am tired of how bulky they are after a few years of use.

Powerblock sells a column stand for $160, and there are a lot of good aftermarket ones too.

One underrated option (IMO) is to save some money by not using a stand at all and doing a dumbbell dead lift at the start of each of your sets :)

If you're on a budget, a used rolling utility stand has worked for me in the past.

You would need to buy all 3 stages

If there is one thing you shouldn't ignore during hard times it's any aspect of your health. This may fall under the category of both physical and mental health. I don't see these items similar to stocks in market volatility.

Having said that, use common sense with any purchase and live within your means. A jog outside and some pushups can be done at no cost. If these weights are the difference between some fitness and none then it's probably a great buy.
I'd save up the extra $100 and get the Rep Fitness AB-3000.

Bought these for $357.99 shipped from Dick's in April 2021. I imagine this is a pretty good deal since everything has gone up in price in the last year.

$309 is amazing for the base set. Highly recommend at that price considering the 24lbs were 249 during the pandemic.

The expansions are a rip off but you also can't get another viable replacement. if you think about it in terms of per pound price, $159 for two twenty pound add one are ridiculously expensive.

Good overview of the different powerblock models: https://youtu.be/Czjz5U6KCc4

Paid $250 for the non expandable sport from Woot. Have not seen the Expandable version on woot in a long time. Seems like a good deal. Might have went this route if they were available.

The Powerblock EXPs are a decent deal although I think I remember them going for $289. The extensions are easily $20 cheaper than they have been tho

Looks like I'm in for the full set. This site has a great breakdown of the Sport (China) vs Elite (USA) models: https://www.kingofthegym.com/powe...-vs-sport/

Previous deal post for the Elite model may also be helpful to folks: https://slickdeals.net/f/15858937-powerblock-elite-usa-stage-1-2-or-3-299-99-free-shipping-for-prime-members-299?

I'm not sure but I doubt it for their lower priced stuff as they can't be making much money off it at $300. It's a solid bench though that will last a lifetime. If you want it for cheap sign up for a credit card deal that has get $x back for $500 spend or whatever, buy the bench and a bit more stuff, get the credit and then cancel the card.

Eh I disagree since we're supposedly going into a global recession. I don't think home gyms are usually in high demand during trying times

Nah no need for new credit line. Being a true Slickdealer, just don't want to overpay lol. If the price is steady, no issues paying it.
