If there is one thing you shouldn't ignore during hard times it's any aspect of your health. This may fall under the category of both physical and mental health. I don't see these items similar to stocks in market volatility.

Having said that, use common sense with any purchase and live within your means. A jog outside and some pushups can be done at no cost. If these weights are the difference between some fitness and none then it's probably a great buy.

I'd save up the extra $100 and get the Rep Fitness AB-3000.

Is the bench any good for someone over 6 foot?

Bought these for $357.99 shipped from Dick's in April 2021. I imagine this is a pretty good deal since everything has gone up in price in the last year.

$309 is amazing for the base set. Highly recommend at that price considering the 24lbs were 249 during the pandemic.

The expansions are a rip off but you also can't get another viable replacement. if you think about it in terms of per pound price, $159 for two twenty pound add one are ridiculously expensive.

Good overview of the different powerblock models: https://youtu.be/Czjz5U6KCc4

Not when inclined. I think 5'7" is the max height when using it inclined, my opinion though. Your knees will be kinda high

Flat position is nice though no matter what your height is.

Paid $250 for the non expandable sport from Woot. Have not seen the Expandable version on woot in a long time. Seems like a good deal. Might have went this route if they were available.

The Powerblock EXPs are a decent deal although I think I remember them going for $289. The extensions are easily $20 cheaper than they have been tho

Looks like I'm in for the full set. This site has a great breakdown of the Sport (China) vs Elite (USA) models: https://www.kingofthegym.com/powe...-vs-sport/

Previous deal post for the Elite model may also be helpful to folks: https://slickdeals.net/f/15858937-powerblock-elite-usa-stage-1-2-or-3-299-99-free-shipping-for-prime-members-299?

I'm not sure but I doubt it for their lower priced stuff as they can't be making much money off it at $300. It's a solid bench though that will last a lifetime. If you want it for cheap sign up for a credit card deal that has get $x back for $500 spend or whatever, buy the bench and a bit more stuff, get the credit and then cancel the card.

Nah no need for new credit line. Being a true Slickdealer, just don't want to overpay lol. If the price is steady, no issues paying it.

I have these with the full expansion set to 90 lbs and the stand, bought them off Craigslist before Covid. They are incredible. Solid and compact. I expect them to last a very long time.
