I would add that the price of the item matters. Instead of calling it a glitch, the coupons takes slots, which is why price matters so much. If an item is $3.99, a $4 mq/dq/ip will not go through because you are a penny short. Now going back to the toothbrush scenario, the toothbrush at my store cost $4.59. Your store price may be different. Since I am buying four toothbrush, the $6/(4) dq will take two slots leaving two items with no coupon attached to it. This is where the second coupon, the $2 dq will come in and take the third slot. If you have another coupon, that is an mq or ip, you can use it and save even more money. That last coupon will take the fourth slot. Then you can also add in any crts, which are cvs coupons that prints from the red machine OR in the app/website that has no pictures. Coupons in the app or website that have pictures are called dq or eq, which works the same as mq or ip. Crts do not take up slots. This is the part where you will use any cvs coupons that will apply to the toothbrush transaction such as $3/$15 crts or any other variety. Maybe you have a $2 oral care crt that can also be add on to the threshold crt (this is just an example, not that I ever received one).
