since usually any promo will require you to wait from 90 days all the way to 6 months (perhaps more), they can easily get away with it.

Edit: I think their terms was only $250 per paycheck or maybe $500 per month, I just know I'm on two $250 for that account and it's enough to have the fee waived. Of course that's much lower than the amount US Bank is asking.

There is a way to waive of the $7 (minimum fee) on Easy account if you maintain $1500 balance or a DD of 1000 (i think; not sure on this number).
I too have a Wells account to manage so don't want to juggle too much.

"You must also complete two or more direct deposits within 60 days of opening your account totaling $4,000 or more. A direct deposit is an electronic deposit of your paycheck or government benefits, such as Social Security, from your employer or the government. Other electronic deposits or person-to-person payments are not considered a direct deposit."
Annoying if it's the only way.
So, since there is nothing listed in Terms & conditions (have read thorough though), i am assuming this can be closed once you get the bonus 🤔
