My opinions about the phone:
I think the coolest thing about the 6A is the machine learning and artificial intelligence and how it powers so many different things the phone does. I basically have no issues with speech to text. I was reading it has a 99% success rate for voice diction which is more than anything else on the market. It also uses that stuff for photo and video processing/editing and tons of other stuff I can't name off the top of my head. They have some of the best spam and phishing filtering for texts and calls (plus call screening). I always use hold for me so I never have to hold when I'm put on hold lol. And then direct my call is super useful as well. They're just so many small things that the phone does that make every day life easier for me. I think what I like about the phone most is it makes everything easier and faster to do (it's really efficient).
Edit: Forgot to mention how useful Google Assistant is for setting up reminders (can do actually a ton of stuff) and the "Recorder" app by Google for voice recording presentations it also saves a transcription.
Here's the official 4 minute run down about the Pixel 6A from the Google I/O conference which talks about features, functionality, security, etc. Good for anyone that wants to learn about the phone.

I had the same issue and pointed out the same ambiguous language. No luck by chat or phone. I filed a BBB complaint and about 10 days later got a refund. Overall this deal was a PITA. Now I'm dealing with a refund issue on one 3a I traded. I received the full $300 value, but $26 done as a store credit, not original CC used. Google CS is useless. 40 minutes on chat and they can't figure it out.
Could it be that Google know this phone has inherent issues and are trying to sell it fast?
The main thing at this point that bothers the heck out of me is that incoming calls goes straight to voicemail.
-Does the trade in kit come with the Pixel phone or does the trade in kit arrive separately?
-How do you price match Amazon since they have the same Pixel 6 for $499 right now?
Something interesting I noticed is the boot up time from a powered off state.
It is FAST! about 15s to initial boot and 20-25s to load widgets and network. About twice as fast as my OnePlus 8 (granted the OnePlus 8 has a lot more applications installed and less free space but that should not have such a big impact afaik).

I thought this was good until 9/24/2022?
Did I miss something?

- new Pixel 6a with no screen protector: fingerprint worked fine
- added a glass screen protector: fingerprint worked fine
- upgraded to Android 13 a few days later: fingerprint currently works fine
I was surprised that the phone didn't immediately update to Android 13 but I had an issue with an old SIM card and had to wait on a replacement so perhaps that explains it.It's too bad there's no way to get an acetate representation of just how pervasive this issue was. I bought my 6a, it was delivered a couple days later than original estimate. Then I got the trade in box. That took a couple extra days to receive. Then the box sat with USPS for a while (I'm assuming USPS either schedules a large delivery or the contractor has to pick up their own load). Then a couple days for decision.
Credit posted same day as approval email.
I did a second one and though it doesn't say delivered, I got the email already that Google received it and will be reviewing. No delay on that one. Same location.

Purchase date: August 21
Phone received: August 24
Waited for a week for the shipping notice for the trade-in kit. Finally reached out via chat on August 28; turns out they see that the shipping address has multiple businesses listed and they do not feel comfortable sending it there (no doubts about sending the actual phone, surprisingly). Provided them the alternative address.
Received the first kit on September 1, and the second - much to my surprise - arrived on September 5. In the meantime, they were contacting me to get some address clarification apparently trying to ship the third kit, which I politely rejected.
Phone mailed in: September 10
Phone received in La Vergne, TN: September 26
Trade-in refund issued: September 30
This all ended well, but not a smooth experience by any means.
