How long is the deal going to last?
According to fine print, Buy Pixel 6a and get up to $300 back with eligible phone trade-in. Starting on Aug 8, 2022 at 12:00am PT and ending on September 24, 2022 at 11:59pm PT.
The Pixel 5 is also eligible for $300 via trade-in. Can a mod add that to the main post? TIA.
I recommended you document the condition of your old phone to be on the safe side (with either a video and/or photos) - it only takes a few minutes to do so! While the majority of people had no issues with their trade-ins, according to some comments there were cases where the phone got improperly assessed. To cover yourself in case that happens, I strongly suggest you document your phones condition with a video (best) or photos. I took a video of me performing a factory reset, capturing the IMEI number, showing the condition (no screen cracks, no bulging battery), showing it operational (that it turns on/showing the software on the screen), afterwards I powered it off and put it in the phone envelope with packing bubbles (so it doesn't get damaged in transit as there isn't adequate padding in the envelope). I also took a video of me putting the phone in the box and sealing it in there. In case the phone gets assessed incorrectly (them saying it's damaged, wrong phone model was sent, no phone was in the box, battery is bulging, etc), you can let Google know you have documented all of these things and can provide them the videos. I am sure you will be able to overturn the incorrect assessment as you have evidence that contradicts their assessment.
Be aware, some intake companies for the trade-in, such as HYLA Mobile Reconsidered (La Vergne, TN) have dozens of complaints of phones mysteriously going missing on Google (https://www.google.com/search?q=H...co

From what I've found it looks like the Samsung Galaxy S10E is probably the best value for trading in. You can find very good/great condition ones on eBay for around $110-$130 For those of you looking to maximize the trade in value like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/165666430056 and the value for trade-in is $390. Hope this helps someone! Smilie
You can find them on Swappa as well for around the same price: https://swappa.com/buy/used/samsung-galaxy-s10e

My opinions about the phone:
I think the coolest thing about the 6A is the machine learning and artificial intelligence and how it powers so many different things the phone does. I basically have no issues with speech to text. I was reading it has a 99% success rate for voice diction which is more than anything else on the market. It also uses that stuff for photo and video processing/editing and tons of other stuff I can't name off the top of my head. They have some of the best spam and phishing filtering for texts and calls (plus call screening). I always use hold for me so I never have to hold when I'm put on hold lol. And then direct my call is super useful as well. They're just so many small things that the phone does that make every day life easier for me. I think what I like about the phone most is it makes everything easier and faster to do (it's really efficient).
Edit: Forgot to mention how useful Google Assistant is for setting up reminders (can do actually a ton of stuff) and the "Recorder" app by Google for voice recording presentations it also saves a transcription.
Here's the official 4 minute run down about the Pixel 6A from the Google I/O conference which talks about features, functionality, security, etc. Good for anyone that wants to learn about the phone.

One caveat to beware is that you may be hit with two $9.99 billing cycle for the credit to be actually credited ($45 - 20 = about $25 in google credit). I did two phones so it was $90 credit, and I am expecting to pay for two months before I cancel.

I tried to order immediately after joining and didn't get that. Had to wait about an hour.
