The Vizio M51a-H6 is impressive for mixed usage. Out-of-the-box, it has a very neutral sound profile that's suitable for listening to lots of different types of audio content. Its dedicated subwoofer adds a little extra kick in the bass range that's ideal for watching action-packed movies or listening to bass-heavy music. It comes with dedicated surround speakers, and while it supports Atmos content, it doesn't provide the most immersive listening experience.
Pros

Supports Atmos content.
Gets loud.
EQ presets.

Cons

Middling height performance.
No graphic EQ.

I've been using a refurb (via Woot) V21-H8 soundbar for ~1.5 years now and its been perfect. I'm sure Vizio sells a ton of soundbars and there's bound to be some fraction of people who experience issues. That being said, this particular soundbar seems to have an inordinate amount of issues (here's one reddit thread on it [reddit.com]) that would make me think twice about pulling the trigger on a purchase.

I checked my Costco orders and I did order this some time ago. I did return it. It was defective. And I could be wrong, but the replacement must've been defective too. If you're going to get this, get the updated version from Bestbuy, that has an x in the model number.
