I own this... You likely won't find better for this price. It is noticeably brighter than any of the sub $150 projectors you'd find on Amazon. Make no mistake though, it still needs to be basically dark to get a good image from this.

The only issue is no real keystoning and the way the unit is designed its meant to sit flat. So you have to raise it to the height needed for where you want it projected. Not a quick thing to setup on-the-fly if you want to maximize clarity and low distortion.

....that said, of you want a movie night and willing to figure out the best placement for dirt cheap - this is it.

Made a follow-up post with confirmation of specs.

As for the naysayers in this thread...What the ever loving **** are you doing in a 55 dollar projector thread? You obviously only think projectors have one use case and thats to be brighter than the sun. Since your view is so effing narrow, I can't fathom what your minuscule brains thought they would find in this deal, but it's pretty apparent you're insane.
What they meant for 'Portable' is easy to move/carry it from one place to the other. It does not have built in battery. I purchased this projector fron previous deal and returned it. FYI, projector has native 1080p, and if you keep your screen size to about 40 inch, it is quite watchable even with low ambient light. But it wasnt just enogh for me. If you really want portable projector, invest little more and get Xgimi Halo or Wemax Dice, highgly recommend it.

I have this. Can't go wrong for the price. Recently did movie night outside... Had to wait for complete darkness and put it on a tripod. Also hooked it up to external speaker. Did wonders. Colors and brightness was okay. Again, for $55, can't go wrong.

Also, I did have this hooked up to a 300khw portable battery. So made it portable 🤣😂😀

That just means it will accept a 1080p signal, not that the projector actually displays 1080p. Had anyone actually confirmed that this projects at 1080p? That seems to be the one feature it has going for it. Realistically, even 720p would be fine, given that the dim bulb and cheap optics are going to make it hard to tell the difference between the two.
this projector is native 1080p

You get what you pay for. This thing won't work unless it's pitch black and you are a foot away from a "screen"...enjoy!

Why don't you read the forum and see how many people say they had to wait until completely dark to use.

Go ahead...I'll wait
Watch the yt videos. It is usable during the day closed windows and under 40 inches is totally fine. That's not a foot away because this thing needs to be far back to throw that kind of image.

The thing is plenty bright at night

No need to wait, read the very first reply in this post. Pay attention to the very first paragraph. Now read who wrote it.

Same. Wanting something basic to run outside at night in the fall during football season or to have a fun movie night. Oh well.

Paid $65 for this a few months ago. The criticisms are right; it needs favorable conditions (darkness, good projection surface) to work well; it's definitely not end to end sharp across the screen. The portable language is a bit of a misnomer, and it's heavy for its size, so if you put it on a tripod it can be very top heavy. Buuuut...for $65 / $55 I'd say that it's good enough. I project on a white ceiling in my bedroom to watch movies / TV at night to wind down. The ports in the back are tight together because it's small, and it generates some heat. The speakers aren't great but fine for the size. In a dark room and favorable surface, you'll probably be okay with it (maybe up to 10 feet away). I've tried in a dark room against a whitish surface to project against an entire wall, maybe 20 feet away and it was just not bright enough; the image was dim even in pitch black conditions.

Too late, now that it is sold out (maybe there will be a next time), but fine, here you go. Proof it is native 1080p. Proof its usable with the blinds down in the middle of the day.

Setup photo shows me using this unit.
Example is showing the image in action (well, it is paused Big Grin )
1080p image shows it displaying the exact 1080p image as intended with vertical lines clearly alternating black or white, pixel to pixel.
720p down-converted image showing the blending of lines to make black to grey instead of black to white.

Compare those projected images with the actual 1:1 supplied here. Again, for those in the back. If this projector was native 720p, it WILL NOT be able to produce the alternating black to white vertical pixels, but it does because it is NATIVE 1080p.

Sure its not tack sharp like whatever monitor you are using, but the NATIVE 1080p is there, the size is small, it's clearly able to be usable and it is (was) $55...what the hell more do you people want?

I have a pro-tip: If a sub $150 projector will never have the performance you want, then stop making yourselves look like fools going into a sub $150 projector post complaining it doesn't perform to what you need. Plenty of people only need the performance this has and you crying it can't be used as the centerpiece to your home theater is laughably embarrassing for you to... uh, pun intended, project.
