For some price history, I paid $489 on February 10, 2022. Great saw. Get the 10" while it lasts since they are switching their whole line to 8".

Why 8"? That seems like a huge step backwards, unless I'm missing something. I currently have a 10" rigid and would have a hard time going to 8"

It has to do with a new safety regulation, about the size of the blade vs the size of the table surface. I have an 8" DeWalt table saw, and honestly I don't really notice the difference.

Yes, I have put 3/4" stack on this saw many times. Don't recall offhand the most I've ever put on there, but I know it doesn't have a lot of extra space, 3/4" is comfortable for sure.
