If you are getting this saw for job-sites, it's a great saw. If you're getting into woodworking and don't really need the portability then don't get this.

The main downside for fine woodworking is that the fence is not very true (not 90 to table and can't adjust the tilt), it also has a bit of flex to it if you are pressing material too firmly against it. The surface coating is not super durable, and the miter slots on mine weren't very uniform (you can grind the edges down to true them up, but a hassle). Blade needs frequent adjustment. Also, if you want to make zero depth inserts they are a bit more hassle than other styles of saw.

Otherwise pretty great, love the rack and pinion for the fence, large capacity, plenty of power, can hold a dado stack, nice stand, good blade guard/riving knife setup, adequate dust collection.

For some price history, I paid $489 on February 10, 2022. Great saw. Get the 10" while it lasts since they are switching their whole line to 8".

If you are getting this saw for job-sites, it's a great saw. If you're getting into woodworking and don't really need the portability then don't get this.

I'm honestly surprised regulations aren't requiring some form of outfeed support. Besides putting fingers too close to the blade and kickback, lunging to catch something falling off the saw is a pretty common cause of injury.

I bought mine new in the box off Craigslist for 375. The rack and pinion fence adjustment saves me so much time.

Got one, this is the best mobile table saw, the rip capacity (32 - 1/2), pinion fence, rolling stand, and dadoes capability make it a great combination.
My only regret is that I first got the cheaper 10 inch Dewalt before seeing the light.

I have read this urban myth several times. But only here in the SD deals threads. Last time someone brought it up I searched high and low for some kind of confirmation about changes in regs and Dewalt coming to EOL on 10 inch jobsite saws. Can you point me to somewhere besides SD for more information on this? If there are new safety standards, shouldn't all manufactures be affected by this?

I dug into this and it's due to a 2019 modification of UL-62841-3-1 that sets limits on blade size to table size.

Since this model has a big enough table, the 10" blade is allowed, but many of their smaller portable models that had 10" blades are now replaced with 8 inch blades.

So yes, the 10" was discontinued in 2019 for their portable saws, but this is a larger contractor saw that allows the 10" blade.

IMHO: I've not been that impressed with the power on any of the new job site table saws. If you can find an old Craftsman Model 113 Table Saw, you'll be much happier. More powerful, cheaper, just as accurate, and easily fixed.
