now at $80 lower may worth a try (rather than those of Celeron N), though the display is just 768p and 220 nits, 45% NTSC
But what's the upgradability of this laptop? Is it an IPS panel?

I THINK it's an IPS panel; several retailers list it as one on their site. As far as I can tell hp doesn't say, even on their own site.

The 720p screen kills it for me though. Any device over 12" or so should never be that low in resolution.

Yes, I'm as dumb as a box of rocks with computers (75 yrs. old), but I did it last year, a breeze (got the info. on SD). I remember when I didn't have a computer, so that resolution doesn't bother me at all. For $200., my goodness, it's a steal. That's what I paid for an Asus @ Staples via SD Christmas 2020, and it only had 4 GB RAM (all I do is web/email). Repped, OP.
