Having used this Ozark Trail canopy and this one from Academy side by side I would grab the Academy for $15 more after $20 off $100 promotion. The main upgrade is the mechanism to extend and lower the legs. The one on the Academy is a big button that's easier to press instead of the little pill shaped button on the Ozark that can pinch fingers. Both come with crappy storage bags. Everything else is pretty much the same including the vent at the top that seems to help in the heat. The mechanism in the center of the canopy to raise and lower it may be a little better on the academy too. You can see it in one of the Ozark trail pictures.

Academy has a promotion right now for $20 off $100 or $10 off $50 through 8/10/22. Should see the promotion on the Academy home page. Need a filler to get to $100.

https://www.academy.com

Otherwise, the Ozark is a good canopy , especially for $65.

Was about to pull the trigger on the Academy canopy but shipping kills the $20 savings. So make sure you can do store pickup to make it worthwhile.

We use this for our saws on rainy days working construction. It's held up well for a year so far. Definitely worth $65. It's just like anything though, how you treat it is how it lasts.

Is this a better deal?

Ozark Trail 10' x 10' Red Instant Outdoor Canopy with Heavy Duty Construction
$44.97 w/free shipping

Slanted legs as opposed to straight. It seems there are more accessories available for straight leg canopies, but can't swear to it.

I've tried to order it several times only to have the order canceled because it's out of stock. Hope you all have better luck than me.

The best part is the no hassle exchange. They know these things break and Walmarts are everywhere.

I got this for $50 recently and put it against the back of my house with one leg tied to a fence post using it as a make-shift car port. I have privacy fences and trees blocking most weather/wind but have been surprised at how well it's held up.

How hard are these for s single person to put up? I have an older one of these and it's a super PITA. I have to walk around the outside trying to extend the legs one at a time and it can be frustrating to say the least.

Are the corners from the tarp in the Academy to attach to the frame are velcro as well?

I picked this up on the last deal when it was only the white available. I do like the center mechanism for pushing up the top and locking it in place, but the quality definitely has decreased since my first Ozark Trails EZ UP. The fabric is super thin and the frame is wobbly. My old one is a tank.

picked this up last week and pretty good for the price. Used when it wasn't so windy so not sure how this would hold up. One of the velcros started to unthread from the cover so i just don't wrap that one.

I actually picked up this cheaper version for $40 a couple weeks ago - the construction of the frame was good and it even came with bigger buttons for extending the frame/legs (instead of the pill-shaped pins that you would typically find on cheaper canopies). The only drawback was the fabric seems to be a bit on the thinner side, but it seems like it would do the job just fine (just don't leave it in the rain for an extended period of time).

I work at a beach park and these do not hold up on breezy days. When any part bends they are permanently useless so lazy visitors just abandon them on the beach. My record is 3 in one day, but usually we have one or two per weekend.
We started using a portable bandsaw to cut them up so we can get them in the dumpster easier.

When i was researching, Slant leg canopies are weaker and less durable. Bigger footprint, for the shade provided. Can't butt up against another canopy, or a wall because legs extend out past canopy.
