You can keep these blades razor sharp with 10-20 stokes on a ceramic rod a once or twice a week.
If you're too lazy to do that, I dont know what to tell you other than put on your big boy pants and pay someone else to sharpen.
It's not like this is Maxamet, REX45 or S110V.
Its VG10 which is a breeze to sharpen or reprofile and is not chippy compared to harder steels

It does cut cool whip so not a total loss

As a woodworker/former luthier, I sharpen my own chisels, tools, and knives using a combination of Japanese water stones and (recently) diamond sharpening plates.
Also, not that it matters for this deal, but KAI will not sharpen serrated blades. I received a Shun Reserve serrated utility knife [knifecenter.com] as a gift a number of years ago, and KAI said they'd hone it but not sharpen it. KAI also makes a less high-end line of knives that were available in Target, Wasabi Black. They're stamped stainless, made in Japan, and they're decent. I got lucky and picked up (insert Goodwill brag here) an 8-piece block set [chefscornerstore.com] at Goodwill, brand new unopened package, for $30. I also got two Nakiris [chefscornerstore.com] unopened for $5 each. They say they're 58HRC, but I have no idea what "graze finish for improved food release" means
