Save being obtuse for someone else. People such as equalme were clearly trying to apply the promo code to the 2TB. Telling him that it worked for you, when it clearly doesn't with the 2TB, was asinine and unhelpful. This is my final reply.

For anyone wondering, the promo code does not apply to the 2TB. Full stop.

All motherboards with 110mm support should have 2 screw-holes to accommodate both types of drives. See the picture here and note the other screw-hole for the longer drive. (a small one is mounted in the picture)

I just went to the website (try a new browser or private mode), added the 1TB model to my cart, proceeded to checkout, added promo WELCOME10, and the price dropped before moving to payment.

I didn't even try this when I purchased the 2TB model as others had reported it would not work after trying.

The promo doesn't work on the 2TB. If you add both the the 1TB and the 2TB to the cart, you'll notice that the 2TB has "On Sale" next to it.

I kinda feel 2023 is ready for 4tb ssd to be where 2tb ssd is today.. the market already saturated... and gen4+ was a dud of a release. No real world benefit. Need to work on gen5 10GB/sec throughput.

I was going to order the 1TB with the coupon until I realize the speed is slower. I'm going to stick with the PNY XLR8 2TB for $200 when it comes from Best Buy: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/pny-...Id=6465379

It's one of the fastest SSD I've found based on my research. It comes with a heatsink. There's two versions, one for $195 (5600/4300) and the other one is $200 (7500/6850). The extra $5 is worth it for the speed. Let's just hope the speeds are real.

I think you're misreading my comments. I never said it worked for the 2TB. Someone posted in here that the code worked for 1TB, which is true. This was my initial comment on the matter. No where in here did I say it would work for the 2TB and stated clearly that I used the promo for the 1TB.

Not only is this the 4th fastest drive out there but it's price competitive especially when considering the state sales tax never got added for my state when I ordered... that's 6.5% right there. Of course I'll report it like I'm supposed too. Wink

I didn't realize how bad it's gotten selling on ebay with all these new tax rules... over $600 and ebay starts withholding taxes? Sellers losing 30% of their sales to fees? One reason people who buy to resell annoy me a bit, when you have that much of a cut being taken off the top, it just rewards ebay, shipping companies, and the government to resell items like that. Better they change hands as few times as possible.
