Actually it is not. I bought the so called Xbox one version from Bestbuy in the launch. Notice the top left says both Xbox one and Series X. I had the Series X version from just getting the disc. Google it.

No you can't upgrade according to Activision. I had the Series X Version from GameFly and it sucked. The Multiplayer is nothing like COD used to be.

Next-generation upgrade options
The PlayStation 4 Standard Edition will have an option to upgrade to a digital version for PlayStation 5 through the PlayStation Store. Please note: The PlayStation 4 disc must be inserted into the PlayStation 5 to access the digitally upgraded PlayStation 5 version of the game. This upgrade option is not compatible with a discless PlayStation 5.
The Xbox One Standard Edition cannot be upgraded.

Sorry, you're right. I misread the deal and thought this was the digital version. The disc version can't be upgraded.

No worries! I figured with more people buying current gen systems. Its driving down last gen copies of the game for cheap. I know for me personally, I'd rather have the actual PS5 copy, because with the PS4 copy of games, it will try to install it every time I reboot my system and that's is major annoying, and considering you can't even upgrade the Xbox copy says enough. But maybe to some people they don't care about 120hz etc... I still don't think this game is worth $10 at all. Considering its nothing based on what COD used to be. I still don't know how they went from making MW2/BO2 to this junk.

This PS4 game has a 4.5 out of 5 score (408 reviews) on best buy. The PS5 version has a 73 metascore. I know these call of duty games get their share of hate but I like them when I buy them cheap on sale. I never spend any full $60 retail on any game so for $10, I think it is worth a try and can entertain me enough for $10.
