Doesn't that just mask rust, which will eventually eat through once rust starts it continues to eat through metal right?

maybe just me, but I have a hard time picturing anyone remembering or bothering to give their gazebo a "wipe down" after every storm. That said, maybe it would be worthwhile to try and apply some sort of enamel paint job to better protect this thing right out of the box

Quality control scares me in the reviews and the lack of instructions. Wondering if anyone had this before and care to shed some light.

Reviews seem to be hit and miss. It's great as long as it doesn't arrive damaged or incomplete, but like all things in life it's a risk. But if anything is missing or damaged that's not the buyers fault, so they'll make it right. It will just be an annoyance. I'm going for it. I'll report back after it's up, unless there's a reason that doesn't happen.

Only thing that worries me from the reviews is all the reports of rusting or I'd jump on this

That's going to be an issue that pertains to climate, then. I'm in CA so we don't get enough rain to worry about rust, but even here I'd be inclined to wipe it down when needed to avoid any issues. For wetter or more humid areas, you can always spray it down with a new coat of paint every once in a while if it starts looking worse for wear.

Perhaps I should have been more thorough. Sanding and such was implied prior to painting, if necessary, should rust occur. Anything metal and kept outside is going to be subject to potential rusting if not maintained, so that issue can apply to any iron or metal gazebo.

Just wipe the worst of it down with a towel after a storm, and its bound to last for years to come.

Correct on both counts. Bear in mind I'm in California so rain is more of a concept than a regular occurrence here. I still plan on giving it a coating of hydrophobic treatment all the same as long as it's cost effective. I have no idea what that would run

Walmart+ covers items which are both sold and shipped by Walmart. Same practice as Amazon Prime.

This is sold and shipped by Walmart. Don't currently have a subscription so no way to tell if it will apply.

Edit: Nevermind, just looked up it and oversized and freight items are not covered for free shipping.
