I wonder if these have tracking/spying in them like all Apple product. As in they always report back to the mothership and you (the owner and user) can't turn it off.
And you can put it in airplane mode and it stops any syncing between the device and your accounts. It's great if you borrowed ebooks from the library and want to keep them downloaded until you read them.

If I remember it correctly that spying part stay on including when you power off your device. Only way it turn off is when it have no power like the battery died or get remove which they no longer allow the battery to be remove. (https://www.youtube.com/c/BraxMe/)
