Flip 3 with some hinge damage from a drop on a rocky surface and a 3/8th inch long scratch or wear line in the screen cover/plastic and it got accepted for full credit. I was worried I would send it to Samsung and either issue would have boned me.
I brought my Flip 5g with in case they wanted to ding me heavy for the Flip 3s damage and was pleasantly surprised to get 800 credit for it too, so I bought 2.

Next Samsung email: "You agreed to send a trade-in device as part of order blablabla... we have not been able to complete the process... Samsung attempted to charge your payment method for $550 (the trade-in credit difference, since they lost my phone or stole it). Unfortunately, your payment was declined blablabla... if we cannot successfully process the charge, Samsung will have no choice but to refer your debt for collection" (unfortunately for them, fortunately for me my bank saw this as a bull sh*t transaction that didn't make sense, and blocked it).
I received a collection letter 2 months later on behalf of Samsung Inc for $550 (the trade-in credit difference), and after talking with my bank and sending Samsung an email with an attachment (video I recorded of me packaging and shipping the phone) they sent me an email 10 days later saying: "We are writing to let you know that an error was made that resulted in your name being sent by mistake to a collection agency blablabla... We sincerely apologize... (yeah, because I have evidence you fkn as*hol*s, otherwise you would've forced me to gift you $550 or ruined my credit).
Not that I give a damn whether "you" believe me or not, but all those reading this please take evidence before you ship your devices, or do in-store trade-ins where you can actually record the whole thing in-person.
