I went to another Best Buy and they tried to do the exact same thing, but this time were actually receptive and helpful when I suggested they try it just as a straight trade in, unlike the previous Best Buy, who insisted it had to be done through AT&T and refused to try anything different.

Thanks again everyone. New flip4 arriving Friday, $200 + tax out the door. What a deal.

Just upgraded my S21 5G for the S22+. The associate said they would do a $500 trade in towards the phone + a $300 gift card to avoid people from just getting an $800 gift card. All in I had to pay about $30 tax. He even told me the associates there have been buying older Samsungs on ebay just to trade in, hence the $500 credit towards a new device.

Bought in Skokie IL.

Wow hilarious. I just walked out of Skokie and did an S21 to S22 plus trade. 30 bucks tax as you said. I had to wait behind a couple other people including some dude trading in an old iPhone but once I got there the store associate knew what to do and it was efficient. I was totally going to get the regular S22 but after fondling both the S22 and S22+ for awhile and comparing to the S10 which is my current phone and the S21 that I just bought and was using for a couple days, I decided to spring for the 22+ rather than end up with a stub BB gift card. It was much harder than I thought to feel the weight difference in hand and I loved the extra screen size.

Killer deal when I got the S21 all in for 240 bucks

The guy at BB here thought the price cut may be extended. We'll see. I am tempted to go hunting on eBay for another donor phone although I need to remember that these list prices are so inflated along with the inflated extra 500 credit, so as a pure flipping play it isn't as lucrative. For everyone like me who needed a phone upgrade anyway it is a killer deal

Like I just said above, after fondling both the 22 and the 22plus for awhile I decided that the 22 kept feeling like a downgrade to me when I was holding up my current S10 or the S21 I just bought and was using for a couple days for fun before getting to the trade. I thought the 22plus would feel much larger and heavier but vs S10 and S21, it is sort of a fork in the road where you either go "a bit smaller" with the regular 22 or you go "a bit larger" with the 22plus. so I hit the bid on 22plus because my gut kept telling me to. plus I don't end up with a 100 dollar stub card at Best buy.

They showed me the trade in screen and the S20FE is not there. All other phones till S6s are there though. I don't know what else to do with these guys

They did the same for me also. S22+ are sold out everywhere so they're shipping it to my house in a few days. Traded in s21 ultra 128gb. S22+ 256gb was free and gave me a $20 gift card for the difference.
