Just chatted with BB customer care. They mentioned the 499 activate today price for unlocked phone is essentially activating a new line/upgrading current plan to the new phone. So if you have any of the 5 carriers then you can get the lower price. Else you need to add a new account.

Did anyone order a s22+ 256gb and the order status is delayed? I ordered one last Wednesday with delivery date of Friday, but the status turned to delayed.

I bought my parents 2 refurbed S20 FE 5G phones to exchange for S21 FE 5G phones before the $499 activate now deal went live (so I would've done activate later through BB and paid $100). Is there anyway during the Activate Today upgrade process I can have them keep their same SIM cards on their old phones? They aren't in the same city as me so I don't want to burn their current SIMs and make their current phones useless before I see them this coming weekend.

New unactivated Sims ship with the phone. New sims don't need to be activated. You can continue using the old sims.

Just came back from BestBuy and asked for S21 FE, trading in a Note 20. It doesn't look like you can combine this promo and carrier activation, at least according to the rep that helped me. In other words, price is $699 and not the $499. YMMV
Spring for the S22 for an extra $100

Horrible phone trade in experience. I wanted to trade in a Samsung S20 FE for Samsung S21 FE using the $600 promo credit THEY ADVERTISE IN A LARGE POSTER IN THE SAMSUNG SECTION of the store. I went mobile section and spoke with a rep. He said the phone trade-in is only worth $145. Told him about the ad in Samsung section and then show a picture of the ad on my phone. NOPE, it must be on the bestbuy.com trade-in website. Show him bestbuy.com trade in website on my phone and NOPE, I have outdated web browser cache. He went on his POS system and check and IT WAS THERE on the Trade-in promo page. Now it took another 60 mins to complete the process. He asked for my ID more than 5 times(to start over). Seems like he didn't know what he was doing. When he finally got everything to work. I OWE $100ish+tax.... The S21 FE phone is currently $499.99. Trade in value for my phone is $600 credit. Why do I owe money.... THEN BACK TO THE BESTBUY.COM website on the POS system. I told him he needed to add activate the phone and he keep saying phone is unlock; no activation needed. After back and forth. I HAD to use my T-mobile acct to activate(I wanted to use a prepaid activation which my sister did last Friday with no issue. That rep was great by the way and knew what she was doing when upgrading her phone from S20FE to S22+). He then activated it on the WRONG T-Mobile number but finally got the phone to ring up as $0 and I have a $100 bestbuy card... which I wanted to use to buy a prepaid activation during the trade-in..... Guy was completely unprofessional and act like he knew it all when it was wrong every time.

If it wasn't for this great promo; I would not shop at bestbuy. I used to be a Elite / Elite Plus member every year but too many bad experience made me take my shopping online where I don't have to deal with idiots.

BTW: S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra are back to regular price. S21 FE is $500 now.

Tho I'm a bit jealous and late, I'm still stoked to have upgraded my 2 S21 phones for 2 S22 phones and just had to pay about tax x2 on the $300 difference without dealing with more bill credits. Glad for those that got phones before the price increase but happy I wasn't too late to the party. No fun having watched my S21 drop in value so quickly.
