Look at the model number on the bottom left of the barcode label on the box, beginning with "SM". If it ends in "U1" then you have the unlocked model, "U" for locked.
Net i had to pay 128 odd out of pocket for s22 and s22u. Its all right.
If anybody's able to get it to work differently, I'd love to hear what you got.

Got my $600 trade in, S22 Ultra $999.99. Tried a couple times to sway getting it for the $949 price which is what initially drew me on (all on a fluke SD's search to see if any Samsung deals were happening. Finally one without "a new line, bill credits, or other big hoops to have to jump through!). Tax on Balance after trade in value, not current retail value.
