I wonder why Samsung and Best Buy don't accept Pixel 6 and 6 Pro for trade-in?

When order phone for in store pickup, how long will they hold the phone at the store for?
We'll hold items at the store for 5 days — if you don't make it in by then, we'll automatically cancel the order

Wait, the phone needs to be in stock at the store to do the trade-in? Phone support just got done telling me the store can order the phone for pickup/delivery.
Did you ask phone support if the store can order the phone even if it is OOS online?

You look for ways to complicate things. Here some answers to your questions. If it's OOS online, you or store cannot order the phone. If it's OOS in store, but available for shipping, just go to the store to get the deal and have the store order the phone for you. There won't be any issue with the price if it changes after your order was placed. The price at time of order is the price you will pay. I don't think it's a good idea to buy to return, and then rebuy with trade in since it just adds extra steps when you can just have the store order the phone at time of trade in. Hope it is clear for you now.

No. But the phone you are purchasing has to be.

Thanks cyberdude. This presents an interesting conundrum.
The phone can be shipped to my home faster than it can be picked up (whenever it is in stock)
Shipping : 1 day, Pickup from store: 5 days

If the phone reaches the store a day late in pickup, it goes till Monday.
If I attempt to trade-in my phone on Sunday, will I get the Sunday Price or the Monday price.

Also, have you done this yourself? this will reduce my trade-in opportunities ( untrained associate who doesn't know how to do this) to one store.
I bought the S22+ 256gb model and had it shipped to me. I had been out of stock for like 2 weeks at the time. Whenever it seemed to come back into stock I'd go to the store to buy it and it'd be out of stock again. This happened twice.

So when it was available I ordered it, myself. I had the package delivered and literally drove straight out to Best Buy with it, without even opening it. The FedEx guy was still in the truck when I pulled out. When I got there I returned it and had the customer service rep walk it over with me to the mobile phone department where I bought it with my trade in coupon and gift card.

thanks! even though it adds an extra step(thanks mellospace for that info), I guess this is the way I'll have to do it.

You have I believe 14 days to return, and no restocking fee if unopened. If you have their Total Tech or whatever membership I'm pretty sure your return period is longer and no restocking fee if opened.

Last week prices were full MSRP but 2 weeks ago s22 plus was $50 cheaper than this week and ultra was $100 cheaper. Were those prices from 2 weeks ago ongoing for a while, is there a chance they return those prices next week? Or were those prices just a one week rare exception?

For example s22+ was 750, ultra was 900

I'm debating about what to do. Finally found a S21 in very good condition but I probably won't get it until Monday. I'm not sure if I should order one now and hopefully lock in my price for a 22+ with this weeks deal or wait to see what/if any deal there will be next week. There's been better prices than what they have this week.

The prices tend to change each week. The prices from 2 weeks ago also appeared 3 or 4 weeks ago if I recall correctly, in fact on activate later as well as activate now. So 2 weeks ago weren't even the best time.

Did the deal today by trading a locked S21+ for unlocked S22+. Paid total of $21 tax on the $300 after $500 coupon was applied, and then $300 gift card. Great deal. BB employee assisting me did not know the steps but thankfully his coworker did and helped him navigate the process. Place was busy for a Wed as people kept coming in to buy iPhone 14 phones. Seemed like everyone was asking for the Pro Max.

I have a question about the unlocked s22+ I now have. During the upgrade process, the Bb employee asked me which line on my T-Mobile account to upgrade. I told him the number, and he was able to access my T-Mobile account, and I received a confirmation text from T-Mobile while in the store to. He then proceeded with the process of doing the deal and the transaction.

Once finished, he handed me the S22+ still sealed in the box, as I told him that I will be gifting it. The BB employee told me that once I got home, to just pop in my current Sim from the line he upgraded to activate the phone.

Do I really need to do that first, or can I just give the sealed phone to my friend since it is already unlocked, and just have her pop in her sim, and she will be good to go? Or do I need the phone to be recognized on my T-Mobile account first by popping in my sim first?
