$7.70 instead of the $24.99 List Price.
It runs off a CR2032 battery.
Tuning Range B0 - B7; A440 calibration

Convenient and unobtrusive, the FT-1 multi-function clip-on tuner helps ensure your instrument is always in tune, even on a dark stage. Its handles noisy environments with ease thanks to its built-in vibration sensor. The LCD display's easy-to-read needle indicates how close to pitch a note is, and the screen's backlight turns green once the note is in tune. The FT-1's dual-hinge design allows you to mount the tuner on either side of your instrument's headstock.

The clip on design makes it so the tuner only hears the guitar itself (through the vibrations in the headstock) rather than any outside noise. Really handy if you're in a noisy environment such as band practice

Vibration based tuner is more accurate.

I have two of these, they're fantastic. Great price, grabbed some for stocking stuffers/Christmas party gifts.

Is there any reason to use these over a tuner app on your phone?

Maybe a dumb question but would this work on a viola? My son is starting Orchestra next week and will need a tuner.
edit: nvm i see the description says it works with a violin so I'm going to assume yes.

I use the Boss tuner app. For when I want high accuracy tuning I use the Turbo Tuner pedal below. About $140, but it is very accurate. The website looks like it stayed in the 90s.
