I notice that the MSRP is now $899 now instead of the $1099 before. I can't tell if the backorder is just a way for the retailer/manufacturer to gauge buyer interests or if they legitimately don't have any stock on hand. If they don't have stock, why bother pricing it at the lowest sale price I've seen yet for this card sans discount/rebate.

Prices are hitting new lows literally everyday. No point it being locked in today's price for later delivery..

This is approaching 6800XT MSRP prices which makes it a really good deal. One thing though that I've seen Newegg/Gigabyte do on this card is that they'll drop the card to a latest low, it will go on backorder, but once back in stock it will rise by ~$30. However if you don't need a card and can afford to wait, I think this card went down from $900 to where it is now in the last few months, it's probably worth it to wait a bit longer

Tempting, but I game at 4K and really want all my games above a solid 60FPS. With new cards not that far away, I'd rather not jump in here unless I can get something for $500, given what I buy will be relegated to my cheap side computer I'm building.

I wants me a 4080 or 7800XT. I've never really followed release date rumors before, so I'm curious if Moore's Law's prediction of lovelace launching October in larger quantities than people think pans out or not.

6900XT really doesn't perform 'that' much better over the 6800XT either. A few frames per second depending on the game.

Fwiw. I bought this card for 730 about month ago (after rebate). These aren't dropping like people said they would, Nvidia still has some catching up and I'd bet that people are buying the 6900xt and 6800xt at these prices. Either way, glad I bought when I did because everything else was cheaper at the time (Prime day) as well.

I'd bite at 700 for a 6900xt and sell my 3070 if Amazon had any for this price. Have loads of credit on Amazon 😂

Same... Had so many issues with 5700xt, 3080ti everything worked flawlessly
